It all depends on what you want - what kind of head unit do you have?

I'm swapping my RCD300 over to an RCD510 and have purchased the MDI interface to go in the glovebox along with the Kufatec loom which means you don't have to mess around swapping cables over from the plug at the back of the stereo. I'd suggest an MDI if you have a RNS/RCD 510 - you can get the unit which goes where the CD changer would have been but as you had no CD Changer I'm not sure if you need anything else. Anyway the whole kit is readily available to replace the CD Changer (or go where it's suppsoed to be):

http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p1046_MEDIA-IN-MDI-Interface---Retrofit---VW-Touran.html

That comes with the loom, the MDI unit to go in where the CD Changer should be. It's missing the cable that goes from the MDI to the iPod though which you also need - this kit has that cable as well as the Kufatec loom:

You need to check compatability between the MDI and your headunit though:

In short m8y, your better off with a cheapo non-VW kit.

I've got an old one hanging round which allows connection via phono or headphone jack hanging around if you fancy it?
