I will have to ask my mate who took the pic if he has the original. He had only just took up digital photography and photoshopping when he did this - he has natural talent, but for some mad reason he's given it all up.

Personally I'm not a fan of lots of Photoshop effects. I think the skill and art is in capturing the subject as it is in reality. A bit of correction or removing a telegraph pole from your head is acceptable but not those unreal skyscapes unless, of course, the whole photo is strongly creating such an image.
My hope in starting this thread was that all posted pics would be by the original photographer and be minimal on the use of Photoshop, and most importantly, convey atmosphere - Not just a car portrait in a pretty landscape - There needs to be drama and atmosphere or strong mood.
There are some truly awesome pics posted in this thread :notworthy:

Not sure I agree with you - you still need a great starting point to photoshop it into something great.
When we went up into the hills to take the photo of my car we carefully chose the location, it was blowing a gale and the sky was dark and moody - the skill is in enhancing the photo, not creating something unreal. Then again, there are some amazing photos, many used in car marketing, that look real but are complete fantasy! Now that is also a skill.

I'm pretty sure that photo is HDR, so it is effectively a photography technique. I know what you're saying though, it does look unnatural, I do like it however.
