This,believe it or not, (I certainly couldn't believe my eyes at the time!) is a shot I took out of my front window of a plane climbing out of Manchester Airport on a sunny spring evening. It seems to be a trick of perspective making the plane look like it's in a vertical climb!
The sunlight created a great effect on the contrails too! I thought I was in Cape Carnaveral (sp?) for a minute and watching a rocket launch!
As a total novice I was really chuffed with this shot, which was taken with just a compact camera and was just down to being in the right place at the right time I think!
