Wrapped emblem
« on: September 07, 2010, 11:14:39 pm »
Ok, so I had some 3M dri noc carbon and a spare enblem knocking about so I decided to give wrapping my front VW a bash.
Came out pretty good and was really rather easy. A few cuts and use of the wife's hairdryer then just pull it tight till smooth and trim off excess.
Not sure how long it'll last but still got 2 emblems left to try again with or paint.

Let me know what you think. Will get pics of it on the car once this sh!tty weather passes.

The chrome front section of the emblem separates from the rear section and enables you to tuck the edges in which secures the vinyl. Without doing this the sides will peel outwards over time.

Yup, if you notice the 3rd pic it's tucked in behind. Not sure if I preffer this to just the all black emblem or not.
