Passed an Atom going the other way on some West Country twisties last week and we exchanged thumbs ups  :happy2:

I think it's by far the best of this type of open car.

Tis a shame these sort of cars are out of reach of true enthusiasts. Probably for the best though cause my mates would probably be dead in a week if I owned one of those!

....There are some true enthusiasts that such cars aren't beyond the reach of. But they don't go by such names as "Poverty"

....Nor by the name of "RedRobin"!  :happy2:

That does look awesome, but as one guy says on the PH Forum, they're not great on track days simply because they're too fast for anything else out there. I've been at a track on a couple of occasions when an Atom has been out running rings round everything and anything!

....I don't understand that. A trackday isn't a race and so what does it matter how fast or slow everyone else is as long as you're having fun driving.

I can see what he means though. Like when I go karting with my mates we usually have a 15 min warm up and then they grid us up according to pace, ie fastest at the front. Now me and one of my other mates are always a fair bit quicker than the rest, so we get asked to be put to the back as otherwise I get bored as I walk away from all the other drivers and end up having a boring race on my own. I like to chase or be chased! A challenge if you will!

I guess because you'll be catching traffic a lot of the time. The quote came from someone who has owned two Atoms, and it kind of made sense...
