they are seriously mis guided, they are truly ut to rip people off in my opinion, with all thier rebranding and commission on top of normal RRP prices.

also correct me if im wrong, isnt it just a bluefin remap?

In recent weeks after after reading about the engine mounts and now this my opinion of VWR has plummeted right down.

£1500 is a complete and utter rip off off for their stage 1.  It does not even include the full exhaust  :signLOL:  Anybody worth their salt knows the main restriction in the exhaust the the DP and not the back backbox...

Poor show VWR.

Fair play to them really. They are after all only copying someone else.

We all know of a manufacturer that charges more just because it has a VW Badge their own logo on it

I think that I was misled by this statement; "So confident are we, that all Stage 1 Power Upgrades fitted to vehicles still under manufacturer's warranty will be covered under the VWR warranty - giving you complete peace of mind.  Note, this only applies to UK customers."

As my car is still under VW warranty I thought that this meant that the conversion could be done and not affect the  VW warranty, however I realise now that it is only VWR underwriting this if your car is still under the VW warranty.

I believe that Superchips do the software for the VWR upgrades, so there seems to be little benefit in going to VWR.

I only pick my car up this afternoon and it still has a year to run on the VW Warranty, but I wondered how to select a good reputable re-map supplier.  I really do not want to cause any reliability/durability problems and ensure that there is someone available to diagnose any issues should they occur.

Is there a guide or a list of recommended suppliers on the forum?

A friend at work has a Morego 252 Stage1 and is very happy.  Now I've just picked up the car, I'll have to have a spin in his too!

I'm not a fan of those commercial enterprises which rebrand and resell with excessive profit margins either, and I have used VWR for some time. But it's horses for courses and my car is Revo remapped at JKM who have a rolling-road and, like VWR, also know my car well.

I can only say that in my direct experience I continue to be extremely well treated by VWR in all aspects. My only criticism is that they very rarely return phone calls but I accept that and make another call until I speak to who I need to. I also accept that their priority is the VW Cup series and I fit in around that.

So, I don't think it's fair to suggest that VWR are rip-off artists. It is of course fair that everyone should feel free to express their opinions here.

I've never used VWR, however from what I've heard they do a brilliant job and offer great customer service but that being said their prices always seem inflated. Or maybe I'm just a tight arse

I don't mind paying extra for a great service and quality work but if I can get a product cheaper elsewhere, I will. Just my opinion  :happy2:
