Buy a gti/edition of course!!

Now the price of insurance is slightly less than the price of the car I think it's time for a move from the trusty tdi

Drops more after 25 as then you're not a young driver!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Mine was slightly over a grand when I was 22 on my Dads insurance with 6 years NCB. Driving since 18 and that was back in 2008. Insurance seems to have rocketed since then so cant see it being cheap  :scared:

At 20 my k1 cost me 2800 to insure. At 21 it cost me 1500 to insure. Still 21 and the TTRS is gonna cost me 2200.

Get rid of that TDI son!  :happy2:

lol so did. Alot more exciting things you could be doing at 21 than buying a golf hatchback.

Spend 6 months at a party island in the summer for example :drinking:

Yeah it drops big time! I'm 22 and I am paying peanuts on an S3 IMO. I had my ED30 a few years ago and some of the quotes I got for that were bonkers! Mind you when I got the S3, Audi rang me up with a quote after I got the 7 days free insurance.......................£22,000 for 12 months! I think I will save my £21+k thanks

I’m 22 with only one year NCB and my insurance is nowhere near some of the quotes in this post, out of curiosity, who are the young ones with high insurance quotes getting their insurance through?

Ye I know its messed up but im just so used to paying those sort of figures that I find it normal now. It all started when I was 18 and got my first car, 1.4 ibiza sport which cost 2800 to insure, so you can see why I dont really mind too much paying that much for something fast.

On the flip side though I dont understand how insurance companies can charge some people for example 250 a year to insure a audi TTS for example. Shows how much of a pisstake it is for me!

Ive always shopped around well, currently with greenlight. But all I can say is Location, Location, Location!

My old mans 55 with a gazillion ncb, and for him to insure a evo is still over a grand for example. For me to insure thats ame evo is over 3 grand  :surprised:
