can someone recomend any good wax/sealants and wheel wax for winter going to start shopping for some bits, need to protect the monza 2s

Colinite 476s. brilliant for the bodywork, and better on the wheels than most wheel specific sealants! ;)

I just stuck some FK1000P over the car yesterday. Am planning on another coat (didn't get the chance yesterday) and then a couple of coats of collinite. Bulletproof.

As for Monzas, I found two layers of PB wheel sealant and two of collinite 476s gave decent protection.

Maxitrol- That R222 wax is very good stuff when used in the summer and applied often but it just hasnt imo got half the durability of the 467s. I  used to use P21s on my car which has now been re branded as R222 and it was like i said very good stuff but i found it wouldnt last very long which wasnt really a problem for me in the summer as i used to enjoy waxing my car once a month but in the winter i switched to the 476 and i didnt even clean my car for 4 months and the water was still beading as if the wax was fresh. This year im planning on putting a few layers onto my wheels aswell.

To be honest i dont know mate it looks like the same wax but its in a different tin to what its usually in nut i think its the same stuff.

I usually put 2 coats on 24hrs apart then a 3rd a week later as i cant see the point in adding anymore but everyone has theyre own theories on how many layers are best.

Oh yeah!! I can't wait mate - car has been getting a bit of love and attention recently - they wheels should be the icing on the cake!

Cheers Ben for the info..i don't get a lot of time to fully clean my car so am looking for a good long lasting wax that is easy to use and last ages

Collinite is synthetic hence doesn't need curing the way natur carnauba waxes do. At least that's how it was explained to me.

They are full of petrochemicals that pretty much flash off a lot quicker when they come into contact with air

Having said all that, I used FK1000P which I'm led to believe is similar to collinite. Looked okay immediately after applying. Looks amazing after 48 hours!
