I've been looking at the H&R 30mm Sport Springs. They're €209 (about £177) from Orange Tuning.

Not sure the 20mm of the APs is enough for me.

thanks bud..... i think il hold on 2 hear a review from you once you have your's loool  :happy2:

beddie, I reckon that's the perfect drop. i'm not a fan of the slammed look and the gap round your wheels is uniform all the way - like it should be.

I totally agree, but looking at my car I don't think 20mm will achieve the same look. At the moment it looks like it's sitting on stilts!

Matt.

For me they are just right,  a touch more comfort as they seem to suit the oem dampers better than the stock springs, however like any 'spring only' set-up a lot will depend on the condition of your oem dampers..
I fitted mine with 26K on the oem dampers and now on 39K with no issues so far but i am aware that the higher spring rate will wear out the dampers faster than the stock springs and should that happen will just replace the dampers like for like as i really like the whole set-up  :happy2:

Here's some 'befores' of mine on the oem springs  :happy2:

Sorry fella, I thought you had H&Rs for some reason - tidy.

That's positive feedback, thanks. I'm not going to run spacers at the front so that should rule that out anyhow.
On the VWR website it says from £161 excl VAT for the 20mm springs - does that mean the price differs and if so, based on what?

VWR have different fitments for the springs depending on the front axle loading for the difference in weight for manual and DSG cars, if buying again i'd cut out VWR as the middle man and get the AP springs much cheaper from somewhere like DPM Performance, exactly the same in every way but without the VWR tax...

Springs arrived today Steve. Thanks again for all the sound advice  :drinking:
