News of the Audi RS3....

Somehow I doubt this isn't already quite well known but just in case: I had lunch today with someone who's usually right about what he's heard and apparently the RS3 is expected to be announced at the Paris show very soon and the spec is: TT-RS engine in Sportback (only) with S-tronic and only 2,700 being built until demand encourages otherwise. Cost around £40k.

If it's true: Oh dear!  :party: HELP !!!!!

I haven't been trying to find any RS3 info myself and so perhaps all this is already well known. Anyone else heard this, or similar?

I would love an RS3!

I am waiting for the TT-RS to half in price like the R8 V10!

Thats what I really want I have absolutely fallen in love with them.

Wasn't to smitten on the new TT until that came out!

Saw my dealer on Tuesday and their regional director was down and briefed them about a few bits. Including the RS3 is coming but they are not sure when.

Some articles are saying they will only do it as 5 door! Hope that's not true!!  :fighting:

I really hope so. They need to differ it to the rs-tt by giving it more doors. Also the sport back is stunning. I just hope they sort the upside down drl's  :sick:

Aha, so it seems the info I was told today has some truth in it: 5-door = Sportback  :jumpmove:

In a way, a Sportback RS3 is like a smaller Avant RS4 or RS6.

I think we all have some idea about what the front of a RS3 will look like (slightly TT-RS) but hopefully Audi will make the rear more stylishly individual than they have with their other 3-series. We'll see.

Also, will the RS3 have the Sports Differential which the current S4 quattro has an option for? It's a feature which makes it more fun to drive.

no sports diff as its haldex, but you can get something similiar in the shape of a haldex controller but its still not as gd as the s4's 4wd system. Saps less power though!
