Yikes, this car's getting expensive
« on: September 17, 2010, 10:26:10 am »
Four new Eagle F1's yesterday and on Monday it's getting 5th longlife service with new spark plugs, cam belt and water pump.

That's over a grand's worth of work and I don't even getting anything shiny for it :sad1:

You will get improved acceleration, braking, grip and safety as a result of the F1s....with the rest you get peace of mind that the belts wont snap and write off your engine....

(it is sore though....many of us have already been there and got that tee shirt already)

Yup, things you HAVE to spend money on are nowhere near as much fun as things you WANT to spend money on  :sad1:

I've trumped you mate!

New evap solenoid needed at £78
New front disks needed at £225 (NOT GETTING THEM FROM VW!)
and here's the biggy.... 2 new suspension springs needed at over 400 squid!!

That's over £1.5k in 3 days on 'routine maintenance'

Going to need some aftermarket suspension and brakes now

VW like to bump up their prices  :surprised:

I'm already scouring the net to find the cheapest place to buy some sportlines or prolines  :happy2:
