Haha, these wheels are getting extremely common now.

Not too many plans really. Going to look into the DSG remap and remove the precat but other than that everything else will just be cosmetic. Maybe some ARB's also, lol.

Looks great - do like Speedline Turini's  Car must feel even better now - these are lighter than the Pescara's, aren't they?

I didn't weigh them but they did feel light when picking them up and moving them about. I might weigh one of the pescara's tomorrow (A quick google says the 18" turini is about 9.5kg). The car does feel better, could be down to the lighter/wider wheels but also the new tyres.

Hello mate, car is looking fantastic.

I thought I recognised your username/location pics. I bought your old Monty 2's off your 9n3. My 9n is long gone now too, loving every minute with the Golf.

Looking forward to more updates!!!

The new throttle body has done the trick and no fault codes so time for a few mods

I initially put a Neuspeed intake on...

As much as i liked the fitment of it, i wasn't overly keen on the noise. The huge sucking noise was a bit OTT for me. I spent a few hours trawling through threads to see if there was something that was that bit quieter. Ended up settling for a BHS True Seal intake. All the kit looked really well made but unfortunately didn't quite fit aswell as it looked. BSH were being a pain but 6weeks later i got a brand new hard pipe delivered.

The new one fitted a treat and all i had to do was hack up my spare engine cover.

Got my centre section sprayed up too.

Overall i'd say the fitment is not quite as good as the Neuspeed but it is quieter so i'm happy. The take off port for k04 fitment does whistle but i've got a blank off bung to fit to hopefully stop that.

The car is also booked in for a service and a few other things at AKS Tuning on friday

I had to modify my bsh intake to fit wasn't great but changing between a k&n and pipercross filter made a huge difference in sound (pipercross louder!)

Just make sure the noise pipe return on the left isn't rubbing on the brake master cylinder.

All sorted Alex, adaptions had to be made to this to make sure there was no rubbing. The first pipe i had sent to me was shocking  :fighting:

I can only compare it to the Neuspeed and it's quieter than that. If your after a silent intake that's actually going to make improvements then your going to struggle tbh. This is one of the better ones though

Seems like i've been clocking up quite a few miles now so it was service time. Booked in to AKS tuning once again.

The car also needed new two new driveshaft gaiters and a new ball joint as the old one didn't want to come out. Alex also coded my boot pop and re-aligned my headlights  :happy2:

I did have plans to go on a road trip to nurburgring, so with that in mind i wanted to improve the handling a touch, the car already has H&R springs and the Superpro ALK. After speaking to Alex he highly recommends the H&R arb's and so i decided to just upgrade the rear. With the old bar removed you can instantly tell the difference, the h&r is thicker and heavier and has adjustment too. Installation was nice and easy, i watched as Alex tackled it one handed.

The bar was set onto the hardest setting and to be honest i was dubious if i would actually feel the difference. I was pleasantly surprised at the extra stability and the better turn in and its definitely worth the money.

A big thanks to Alex  :happy2:  top service as per usual.

The car may end up with a few extra upgrades, the s3 intercooler is quite a cheap mod and that coupled with a sports cat could mean i could go to stage 2. I've organised a GB with BCS who are giving 20% off for 10 or more people
