I'm feeling that a lot!!! Awesome, will the 235 tyres fit or do they have to be changed?

My old wheels:

I had the car lowered on H&R springs, and had 235/40/18 tyres which did rub quite a bit, think if you remove the screws in the wheel arch, and maybe a little bit of testing and you would not get any rubbing, I used to have to slow down to a crawl over bumps, and even sharp cornering caused a horrid scraping noise.

Yup can only echo what Al said as mine do rub and I'm lowered on AP coilies but mine only tend to rub when pushing on!  :happy2:

Even with 225's I'd imagine they'd still rub with the 8' width and low off-set.

Damn, i don't like the sound of that, love the wheels but not wanting it to ruin the car over bumps and bends!! anyone got these with 225 on and can confirm if they rub or not? What about the reps, will they be a better offset and width? Can get them for 500 with tyres!

issue is Daz the rocco rims are 41 offset, for me nath is the only who has pulled them on a golf as imho silver is too light, £600 seems to be the going rate for geniune rims with tyres  :happy2:

really must sort mine out

They rub less on a non lowered mk6! Must be a bit more arch clearance inside(?).

Even my old BBSs used to rub on my previous mk5 GTI, and they were 8x18 ET44 with 225/40s.
