Hi all,
just wanted to know if 18" 8.5j all round with ET35 will be ok on a GTI?
i can never get my head around the whole offset business
i am currently lowered on springs with my 18" monzas and i have no rubbing this is how my car sits

They will rub up front for sure. You'll probably scrub on the rears too.

would it rub on the shocks or the arches? i could you spacers i guess if its the shocks

Then you need 9" rears and 8.5" fronts for the extra mean look. Plus a little extra camber for the shows

Rolling the arches wont be nearly enough to stop rubbing. There is hardly any lip to roll on the rear, and only a few mil on the front. You will need camber on the fronts and a touch on the back me thinks. That is if you lower the car.
