Cost of detailing?
« on: September 10, 2010, 10:45:34 am »
Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to detail a mk5?
Also, is there any point now that we will be forced to enjoy the rain?! :signLOL:

To get it done professionally, upwards of £150. Correctional work will push it higher.

TBH you could easily spend that much on detailing products yourself.

Getting it done once will mean it is easier to keep on top of too.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

..........does look good but £350.00 is a lot to have a car cleaned. At the end of the day no matter how hard you care for the car it will end up with light scratches again over time (mine has). I can live with them & just spend my time washing & waxing using Auto glyn products. Every time i go to work car gets loads of positive comments on how clean & shiney it looks so for me a few swirles/faint scratches i can live with & spend the money on something else.

I think on a Black car like maxitrols , its worth it , as the swirls are so much more noticeable. £350 isnt too bad for a full correction considering what goes into it , its usually a 2 or 3 day process , and its not as if you will be doing it every year if you use safe washing and polishing methods.
