Rich remember I sent you a chart of brake fluid wet and fresh boiling points...use that...I think it was Motul 300v....?

Don't forget your wind up tool.

I done mine at the weekend, but the drivers side needs to come back off again for me to swap out the dud caliper, does the vw tool make it easier than using my sort of large and deep triple square?

Always a nice touch to stop them going bloddy orange. You should do the face of the disc as well so it matches  :happy2:

A bit of progress.

Pads were f*cked.... not good. Brembo HP Sport

Not much room to get the wrench in (yes I know you shouldnt use a torque wrench to undo bolts)

Just go the change the brake fluid and bleed them properly.

I intended to buy some new calipers and carriers soon and change them over as these are very very tatty.

Fluid out of the reservoir

Went for a little drive. The brake pedal does seem a bit firmer than before, which has given them a nicer "bite"

Pads sweep the entire surface of the 282mm discs, so no lip will form.

Happy!  :jumpmove:

That fluid is very dark for a vehicle which gets such TLC Rich, how long since its been changed and are you removing the pre filter on the reservoir?
You never said how you found your new pressure bleeder?
