There is lots of tat on ebay, easy second income for lots of folks.
I have seen a german guy selling the red ones and they look good but they are £25 each for front and rear, guess you get what you pay for.
As for advice I would leave 5 stars (he has refunded you after all), but leave positive feedback with a note saying "Refunded as product Not as expected", think that covers it pretty much.
Or you could leave neg but then you open yourself up to abuse/hassle and possibly retaliatory neg feedback (lots of sellers do this), they have a second account (generally in another relatives name), you neg them and they then buy something from you, leave neg and then you have to speak to ebay to get it removed!
This happened to me with the Used Key I bought on ebay, seller stated can re-code, bought ti took it to VW and they CANNOT re-code, contacted seller he refused return based on the fact I had to get it cut before i could try to get it coded, spoke to ebay and they said I could return it, he refused, so Ebay refunded me and I got to throw the key in the fire!.
Left neg as he was both rude and unhelpfull, ad he then started sending abusive emails saying I got the key for free and wanted feedback removed, I told him that I had PAID for the key and that EBAY had decided to refund me as it was useless and that HE still had MY money!.
Anyway 7 days after the last email which was him basically threatening to come round and get it
(Made me laugh as the ebay account and delivery addresses are both a P.O box address
), I said I would gladly meet him somewhere, but he declined, (people are well hard behind a computer screen these days!). Anway he bought something from me using another ebay account (already blocked the account he sold from) and it was blatantly obvious to me what he was doing, he then left neg the day after it was delivered (sent recorded mail), spoke to Ebay and they blocked his second account and issued a warning to him for his breaching of several ebay policies, they also insisted he MADE IT CLEAR in his listings that the key migh NOT work and to check with VW before buying!
