Boots not much better but the cabin space is fantastic. Lots more rear legroom and obviously plenty of headroom so makes the cabin feel really light and airy!  :happy2:

r-line one may look great, but comfy it aint!!  i would go for a match any day of the week.  spec is better, but it doesn;t have the body kit and wheels.  What ever you do, do not buy a petrol one.  you wont be able to give it away in 3 years time when you are looking to change.  the 2.0 tdi is a CR engine, and really suits the car,  the 140 is ok, and 170 is too much extra money for not enough extra grunt.  Run through the specs and get one built for you.  the towbar is only £500 and while you may not want it, it will really make it desireable on the used car market, it folds away and is really neat.  Just so you knwo a factory order on these has an average lead time of 4 months for a manual one a 6 months plus for a DSG.  Good luck with whatever you decide.

Boot is about 1/3rd smaller in size compared to the golf.

Not really a family bus if you have to carry a pushchair plus other bits.

If wife is used to a Disco3 the hard ride on the Tiguan will be a massive shock! I currently drive a disco3 and have driven the Tiguan and they are VERY different vehicles!
Tiguan is the most car like 4x4 I have driven.

Would find it so hard going back to a car after my silky smooth Disco3 air ride!especially on the Fen roads I drive on daily!
