no DSG unfortunately but the 6speed box on the sport is definitely a world of difference from the old 5speed

Also just a quick one while im here, have many people had the chance to directly compare the mk4 to the mk5 handling wise? its different to say the least...

I drove my mates mk4 anni 150 tdi running 190 bhp, the mk5 is deffo alot more planted, but i put it down to the indipendant rear suspension rather than rear beam .

Does your new motor have the highline computer ?
Have you had it scanned on vagcom?
What vag com enabled options do you have running?? any ??

Don't judge me by your ability !

I used to have one of these, they go really well after a map   :driver:

Some nice plans for it you have there, looking forward to seeing some more pics  :happy2:
worth getting then!?? 145bhp and 235ft/lb sounds good to me especially since that will be only 1 torques short of a standard .:R32  :P:driver:

Oh yeah one of the first mods you should carry out. Completely transforms the car  Put it this way I have a mate who had a C2 VTR (which are nipply little buggers) at the time, prior to me having the car remapped I did not stand a chance against him. After the map he did not know which way I went

He was just as speechless as I was, don't hold back get it done ASAP  :happy2:

did you have the controller? im still not sure if its worth getting the controller+ or just the standard one

p.s thanks to who ever moved this thread it was only meant to be a quick one but i suppose its nose dived into a full members ride thread now  cant work out the new title though, any chance of 'Cal's TDI sport' ?  :happy2:
thanks, callum

I had a superchips map on mine, it wasn't the strongest map out there but it was fine for me at the time. Knowing what I know now I would have gone for Revo but TBH there aint much difference between mapping companies for a generic map of this nature  :happy2:

one weeks full ownership has passed without a hitch... come to mention it the fuel cap release played up temperorily but all is sorted now touch wood.

Despite the cold this weekend i had a proper clean and removed the rear badges so looks pukka now.

other than that not much really, i still havent got round to getting the car detailed/paint corrected and touched up. the joy of buying a car off a woman  for the record and before the abuse ensues i do know some good female drivers.

i struggled to get any decent photos of the scuffs and scratches but iv got this to give you an idea of the worst

are they red looking and as we found out, weight about as much as a small child?  :signLOL:

iv got a few more additions to my list of things to do;

in.pro wing mirror lenses
.:R32 rear lights
philips x treme power bulbs (xenons are pricey as hell for time being anyway)
pressed plates front and back (the legal versions with reflective backing etc ... i forget where from but i'll find out)
