I love those vr.g2's but they are very expensive.

I bought a set of neuspeed rse07's instead.. 9kg each for 8x18 and a nice simple design:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thanks for the picture martin :happy2:

I must admit I'm really tempted by these, there out of stock on awesome's website at the moment though. Unfortunately I'm also having to consider trading my gti in for a 5 door car after a family member's recent accident, will stick with a golf gti can't think of anything else that fits the bill (mercedes c63 amg to costly to run, I would like to consider the new focus st but not loving its looks or the dogs breakfast of an interior) so will probably get a 5 door gti or might push for used ed35 5 door or really stretch for a used golf r 5 door.

Did you ever get your new wheels? team dynamics pro race's wasn't it?

^^^^ oh dear mate! Hope all is well with the family.

I ordered the TD 1.2's in Anthracite but after 3 weeks on back order I cancelled it so will try someone else come the New Year for them. Those Neuspeed's are even better looking (but more expensive) would need to see if they would clear the NQS BBK without spacers but could be tempted by them. I must resist...  :innocent:

Thanks martin, family on the mend but could be a long road so might have to do the honourable thing and get the 5 door.

:sad1: bad news about your wheels, seems to be a symptom of this recession that retailers are not holding stocks of expensive items tying up valuable capital and as a result manufacturers are not making items in large or regular volumes. Stick in there and wait.... or buy some neuspeeds

These are the wheels I'm tempted by. The VRG2's are forged and about £600-700 per wheel   . The Neuspeed are about £250, but are 7 spoke instead of 6.

There are some Rota alloys which are similar to VRG2. Either the Rota Grid or Rota Boost. They are between £210 - £250 per wheel.

All the best Phil to you & the family. Some things are more important than a lump of metal!

I don't think they are fat fives I thought fat fives had square spokes.

I though the fat fives where 'fatter'

I'm pretty sure these are rs6 alloys  :happy2:

Yeah, just had a look on Google Images and they're definitely not Fat Fives. I'm sure they're an Audi wheel though.

In 18" they come from an Audi A4 sline. Any bigger and they are from an A8. I think the offset on the 'proper' RS6 wheels is a bit too much.
