There are some fantastic wheels here but how can you tell what wheels will fit a MK5/6?
I know the studs are 5 x 112 but how wide can you go without any arch alteration or what offset can you run with?
What does offset actually mean anyway. Seen all sorts of number quoted but don't really know.
Keep the pics coming...seen about 8 i'm interested in!

Offset: if the rim is placed exactly over the middle (where the rims touches the hub) the offset is 0. the further in the rim is compared to where the rim touches the hub, the higher offset, for instance ET 51 ( standard on the golf) means the rim is 51mm futher in that the center of the rim  :happy2:

You can go to 8,5 and with ET 48 without trouble if 225 tyres are used.  :santa:

It's worth noting that if you use TUV approved PCD correction bolts and ensure the spigot is 100% right, then the whole 114.2 Jap world is your oyster. The OZs below were Jap fitment and I used them on track with no problems.

Speedline Turini. 18x8 ET42

OZ magnesium. 18x8 ET47

Short: No
9" is very wide and with ET 52 i'm not sure the will go clear of the shocks.

Oh dear! Have I given you another 'trouser moment'?

#Are they 19s? They look fantastic!!!

w12's from Illetronik's tread, More rare than rocking horse puh, and not to be mistaken for std. gti rims. notice the less rim around the center of the rim compared to the std. ones. they are

Itake it these will be very pricy then? IE more then the OEM 18s....
