This may not be the right place to post this------

Reading throught the latest Golf+ magazine and saw a Mk5 GTI which is the ongoing project car they have. They were fitting a set of coilovers this month. I was wondering if anyone knew what the wheels are on the car? I cant seem to find a picture anywhere

Cheers
Steve

Just picked up a set of BBS CH Reps and they need tyres. The rim size are 8x18, ET 35 & PCD 5x112. Would these be 225 40 18 ?

They look very wide !!

^^^^ absolutely fine with 225/40/18's on those wheels. No probs at all. Only a smidge wider than the usual wheels.

Here is my newly acquired Jetta sport on the day I collected it

18" vw phaeton "champions" with 225/40/18 Falken ze912's - sorry about the non-stance ride height coil overs will sort this very soon!

They are just my temporary rims - I just had to put this pic up as to what will be going on there!

They are Compomotive TH's - these ones are 8x17 & I had them on my Fabia Vrs. But I've just got my hands on a set of 18" ones too!

Don't know why it's taken me so long to see these!

Simply stunning and not a wheel I'd usually go looking for either  :surprised:  :happy2: A niche win for sure.

Mike asked a few pages back how much these wheels weigh and the answer is 10.5kg without tyres. Not light, but bloody strong. I had a meeting with a kerb at around 60mph a little while back and still drove over 20 miles home without so much as a wobbly steering wheel. It was totally my fault. Combination of unfamiliar, unlit NSL road, another car tailgating and then an oncoming van not turning off his main beam and dazzling me. The result was a new wheel and tyre, but no other damage that I've noticed...

When I turned off later I saw the car behind was a Lotus Evora, so I was never gonna drop him!
