3SDM 0.01's 18 x 9.5" all round





got the same set up on my gti but not quite as low but the thing is really bad on rubbing the arches on the rear any advice on how to sort this problem

Your not going to like my answer.  :smiley:

Put the correct fitting wheels on and they wont rub.   :P The crap answer is to add some camber to the rear which you can do because the rears are adjustable for camber. But the trade off is a car that handles worse.

You guys riding on 19s, what's the ride like compared to standard 18s?


The ride isn't a factor for me anyway.

I'd rather have the correct spec 19's on my car than the wrong spec 18's.

Don't forget...19's are becoming more and more common place straight from the production line nowadays.

I doubt VW would use em on the Golf R if there were any problems in ride quality or handling. 


I can drive with 3passengers on my 19's and not have any rubbing issues what so ever...and that's with the H&R lowering springs on too  :happy2:

Yeah but manufacturers are designing cars to suit bigger wheels - just look at the Astra GTC, it can take 20 inch wheels no probs!

Just don't want to get 19s then be driven crazy with the crashing and banging in the cabin. I do lots of driving so don't want to completely ruin ride comfort lol.

do you get any rubbing issues as i have same wheel set up but in the 0.01 rims and get real bad rubbing on the back
