How are you finding the TT wishbones? am considering some of these myself.

Were they an improvement and do you know what the camber was after fitting them?

Yes that was another question from me, what advantages and have you noticed?

The TT wishbones are great.  Its really hard to set the camber up nicely on the normal wishbones, but simple on the TT versions.  I have my front camber set a 2 degs negative.  With the ball joints all the way out you can get 2.5 degs.

The main advantage is the ability to gain extra negative camber.  They also weigh bugger all compared to the originals.  Next step is to get some TT alloy hubs as these lower the ball joint further and level up the wishbones.  I looked at the S3 hubs and they dont lower the joint.

Nice one.

Id be interested in a group buy but maybe the ceramic is a little too expensive.

Does the KO4 engine have a modded block and stronger head too?

If I go for the induction kit I might fabricate a meshed support like the itg that would aid air flow too.

I think the K04 engines have the same head, block and crank as the K03 engines.

Alex, sorry I wrote that wrong, I meant I would make a meshed support that looks like the ITG Foam one.

Maybe not even Mesh just a fabicated support.

Let me know what you think of the GB and review thing.

Im working out what brake kit to go for and the AP Pro5000+ bits are taking my fancy.  I deal with AP and DaveB can do the bells and brakets.  Would be a great kit to start selling too.

Little update.  Finally got round to fitting my Defi boost gauge.  Took me ages to work out where was best for the contoller, but it ended up in the armrest.  Pain to get all the wires to it, but worth it in the end as I can use it while driving if needed.  I have mounted the gauge on the dash for now until I can workout somewhere better.  I usually manage to install gauges in a stealth location, but the octavia has got the better of me.  Trouble is its a 60mm gauge so a no no in the air vent.  I think I will buy an a pillar trim and make a housing on the trim.







Peak boost on the Revo 2+ is just under 1.8 bar.

I fitted an Audi S-Line gear knob a while back too:



My Blueflame came without any tailpipe as per my request as they only do a 6x4 oval.  So I got my weld on and made my own:



If anyone is wondering about Blueflame at the moment, they have closed the business and are reopening soon as 'Tube Technologies' but keeing the Blueflame name too.  Hopefully they will get their act together too!  :evilgrin:

There's actually not a huge difference between the 2 engines. Crankshaft is the same. The conrods are actually the same thickness except the hole is bigger where it connects to the slightly lower compression pistons 19mm vs 21mm. I have a spare ko4 engine and i don't think it's worth the hassle of swapping it over, handy incase of emergency though :jumping:

harry reckoned his k04 converted BWA engine wasnt as quick as the k04 ed30 engine he transplanted into his car using same software and hardware

A mate of mine has a stage 2+ cupra R. Head to head it's stalemate and even feels the same when i drive it compared to my RS.
2008 Octavia vRS K04'd , Forge twintercooler, Evoms, Autotech uprated pump, full Milltek exhaust 324bhp on JKM's rollers ;-)

Anyway I am sorting a GB with Alex on the BDM Intake so keep your eyes peeled in the GB section this weekend.

Very nice quality bit of kit and a real alternative to ITG/Forge.

Update time:

Picked up a clutch from Helix.  Single mass lightened flywheel, 6 paddle drive plate and high torque cover.  Now I can get it fitted with the diff next week.







This has also come back too:



I wont be fitting it until ive done the rods.

I think its only more popular as not as many people have heard of Helix.  I only go for products that I trust from experience of fitting and using.  I hate the feel of Sachs clutches with their heavy pedal and strange bite points.  The dual mass is very heavy and doesnt help with fast reving and turbo spool up etc, plus they fail which you dont have to worry about with the single mass flywheels.

Ive fitted loads of Helix clutches over the years and they always perform very well with the pedal feeling much like standard, even with the paddle version.  Always had great feed back from customers too.
