The main benefit is the better positioning of the lower arms and tie arms.  Instead of pointing upwards they stay level.  Visually it looks like the track is wider too.

Until I fit the TT tie arms and rod ends I can't use the full camber available on the wishbones.

Next up is some alloy rear hubs.

Do you think S3 hubs and TT lower arms are sufficient Alex?

Sufficient for what most people need, easier to find and generally cheaper to do at the minute, but the TT bits have the edge for getting the perfect setup.

There is a next stage up from the TT hubs and wishbones, Supacopa bits!  Rose jointed bushes, camber plates, racially mounted calipers mounts etc.

I'll get on the track this spring and see where my (& the cars limits lie) and decide how much further I need / want to go.

Your Octy is a machine!

Some pics of the valve all fitted

The vRS doesnt have the 'OFF' or 'DUAL' buttons on the climate control so I grabbed a Golf unit and swapped the buttons over

Before:

After:

Also picked up some black caps from Sixonetwo to cover up the rusty BBS bolts

Received my Forge valve and bits . From memory my current forge valve is 3 x Allen bolts, do I need another hose & 2 clamps to fit the new valve? :(

Was great to go in the octy, allbeit for a wet Asda run lol

You really only need two 35mm hose clips and one 45mm iirc.  Remove the dv housing and bracket too.

What is the benefit of dv relocation? Just service access if it needs replacing?

Milltek tbe, Forge intercooler, AMD map, Eibach Sportlines, Porsche 996 over AMG 330mm homegrown BBK

With the old design DV which includes rubber the DV relocation benefits the longetivity of the DV

Over the top mod list ;o)

Have only received one small hose clip will have to pick one up in the morning.

If you use the car would you mind measuring the reducer to show how much length you've trimmed off each end, I'm going to trim it tonight if possible to save time fitting.  :notworthy:

Alex i have just bought a 2nd hand super size forge it came with the pipework running from the intake but nothing else. See the little vac pipe (maybe 6mm) that runs to the inlet mani what is the attatchment on the end of the manifold that i would need, will i just phone forge and say i need vac/boost hose and the attatchment? Thanks, Stevie.

Is this the bracket that hold the OEM DV to the Intake Manifold? If so you just need a small socket set and iirc a T30 torx bit to undo the 2 screws from underneath.

Yes that's the one.  Alex says 10mm to take the nuts off & the studs ussualy come out too.

From memory the end of the stud won't undo (on mine?) with a Torx bit. Will find out later today

After seeing the Valve on Alex's Octy the other day it is Supersize!
