I'm fitting the rack as we speak so I can let you know if it works.

It's given me a headache already!

To much of this  :drinking: ??  :signLOL:

Almost done.  TT rack fitted and coded/adapted/basic settings complete.  No faults now and it works.  Now to do the alignment before I starve.

Here is a pic of the extra length the TT arms have

Got some more pics to upload in a bit showing the rack differences.

The racks are identical apart from the threads.  The TT rack in a way has been cut down from the factory.  The standard rack could be modded to be the same.

so modifing the GTI rack and reuse the "middle part" and then use the TT steering ends is the way to go as i understand it Alex?  :drinking:

You got it.  The Golf rack needs about 5-6mm taking off it.  Must be done as flat as possible so the arms contact the rack perfectly.

Or chuck a TT rack on.  Feels a lot nicer than my old rack.  Also meant to have a shorter turn lock to lock.  I don't know if that's true or not.

Still can't get over 2 degs neg camber so I'm going to sort some adjustable top mounts.

You haven't sorted the KW mounts yet?

Any problems with the driveshafts? Are they longer on the TT?

I've had no problems with the vRS shafts so far, but I do have some TT shafts that I need to line up against the vRS shafts to see if they are longer.

So I chucked the BBS's back on tonight after getting some new front tyres put onto them today.  Great to get them back on and now I can fit the R8 calipers.

The TT hubs have made the track almost too wide to have the BBS's fitted, but I thought I would see how I get on.  First big bump in the road and they bloody catch.  They have a cut themselves a new groove line too.  :fighting:  Tomorrow there will be some wing removed!!!!

Ordering some of these to bring the top of the wheel back in and to add some more camber:

They look like great bits of kit and I hope they work.
