Just read through the whole of this thread.  Fantastic work, but not what I need to read as now thinking all the things I can do to mine.  Stage 1 map booked for next Monday, do I stop there????

Couple of new bits that have gone on in the last few months:

Polar fis +.  Love it. Adds so much useful info to the car:

Mk6 GTi multifunction steering wheel with black inserts:

There are some mint GTI recaro's under the seat covers.  Still got to wire in the heated seats. I make my own airbag resistors for these now.

Alex: I've got for sale a brand new Skoda Climatronic panel for heated seats(from a FL Octavia) and a Kufatec wiring loom (for seats with heated elements and electric lumbar adjust: includes an extra few wires for a 12v power feed to the lumbar adjust: just don't connect these if you don't have lumbar on your seats).  I bought these to connect the heating elements in my Audi seats to my FL vRS but gave up when I realised the work involved.

PM me if interested.

Dave

Might have just ordered:

Mahle Motorsport 83mm 21mm pinned pistons
DM Forged 21mm pinned rods
APR head and main studs
Full Supertech valvetrain

Spare head will be dropped off with JNL Racing for an extra special porting job.

Then I'm stuck between going for an HTA3079, or a GTX3576.  The engine that I'm going to build will flow too much for a GTX3071 with the porting work.  Head will be specifically flowed to suit either the HTA or the GTX.  HTA will push 500 at low boost and the GTX 550 at low boost.

Stage 1 of the new exhaust system is here, a nice 3.5" BCS downpipe.

Go big or go home  :innocent:  Think you might need to go through with that AWD conversion now lol.

I thought your engine was already fully built piston/rods wise.
