That's that theory urinated on then . . . :sad1:
Saint Steve:
^^that thought entered my mind about the Battery being disconnected when i had my Xenons fitted By Stokeballon back in May/June, but Mr Hedge said that with Bluefin , what he just replied to you shaun.
I must of been running stock power for at least 2 months, i know Sparky craigs R32 was tested down the sliproad on route to a meet, in which the R was disbatched like it had no 2nd gear. So must of been working then.
Im totally perplexed, as it said Bluefin was Installed when i checked it at JKM on the RR day? so wasnt my error of leaving Stock software on the car?

Don't wish to argue with Mr Hedge - but all modern ECUs (especially 'adaptive' ECUs) will revert back to a default setting. Same goes for when a crash sensor is triggered (which basically disconnects the battery). But I don't know how the Bluefin works . . . .
One other issue which has just sprung in my grey matter - could your ECU have been zapped by a virus? Sounds a long shot - but I specifically remembering one teams cars in the BTCC a few years back - where their ECUs were corrupted by a virus - it took them about three months to discover!

Could the Bluefin somehow leave a 'ghost' imprint in the ECU - even when it is disabled? I know Revo add some sneaky code, which can potentially lock out other tuners maps . . .
Hedge:
You can argue with me if you want Sean but you'd be wrong. I had the battery off mine whilst mapped and all was fine.
As you are so fond of saying it's not the same as Revo.
vRStu:
Sean the issue with the REVO reverting back to base settings is limited to REVO (AFAIK) and is caused because REVO use different areas of memory to store the map and it's settings.
This is also borne out by the fact that if you had REVO or a REVO trial you will need a stock flash before being mapped by anyone else.
