Parrot MKi9200

See Halfords doing offer on the Parrot MKi9200 (£200 fitted).  Anyone using one of these?  Would love to see some pics of it in a Mk5?

Can you stream music to it from iPhone via BT - their video seems to show you plugging an iPhone into a cable?

Hi M. I don't have one but my boss does. Yeah you can stream music through BT.
I have an iPhone 4 and it works fine and it did with the 3GS, but the quality is noticeably worse than wired through the 3.5mm jack. Imo the sd functionality is best. Just get a 16gb card for £20 ish and keep all your music on that and not have to keep unplugging.
I really want one but be careful because halfords don't include the wiring harness in their £200 deal.
The harness will be about an extra £20. Have a google because I've seen one for about £140.
Not sure about fitting but I've seen lots of stuff on here about ripping the headunit out.
I'm definitely getting an mki9200 soon so I'll keep you informed pal.

Handtec has the mki9200 for £134 and you can find the autoleads Sot 976 lead for £9.99.

Ive got one. Its pretty good.

Sound quality wise you cant adjust the balance or the fader.
There is no traditional bass and treble controls just a few preset modes - It doesnt sound as good as the RDC500. Infact id say that sometimes it can sound downright rubbish on certain tracks.

Sometimes it works when the fone is plugged in and sometimes it does'nt work. The menus are a bit slow when your browsing for tracks. bluetooth usually connects when the phone turns on no problems. sometimes it takes a few pushes of the call drop button to end a call and the same when answering. Might just be the battery in my controller unit are needing replaced there tho.

However i think its about the best on the market for iPhone - there aint much other choices other than headunit replacment.

Well we got a Parrot MKi9200 fitted to Mrs Otto's car.  Halfords were a complete disaster.  Won't bore you with the details but we ended up at an independent ICE place and was a much better experience.

What happened to the dash surround? Looks like it's been damaged by some kind of cleaner or something?
