Which camcorder?
« on: October 06, 2010, 06:59:13 pm »
My present camcorder uses mini tapes, which was great 8 years ago....... so I need a new one, maximum budget £200(which should buy something decent).

It will be used for filming the kids, and be compact enough to hand hold when boarding.

I'm presuming a hard drive or memory stick is the way to go?

Thanks in advance

PS - Oh and I will need to be able to buy it before the weekend, as I'm away on Monday!

This is easy, i have a camelio BW10. They record in HD, take decent photos, are small, record underwater, easy to use, long battery life......

Heres some links: http://www.toshiba-multimedia.com/eu/camileo-camcorders/bw10/

And they do this: http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=G5KRclMNilI

And theres loads more examples on youtube. Only available through amazon.com

I got one of these......

Although its just over £600, there is a Panasonic SD600, which is the next model down. Its still HD etc, but doest have a EVF or some of the manual controls. Other then that, its the same, and much cheaper I think.

Reviews on these are very good.
