anti roll bar question
« on: September 29, 2010, 07:08:41 pm »
Right, i have shorter arb links fitted to my car which came with the fk coilover kit i have fitted. Fk say they dont do arb links the same length as the ones i have fitted :stupid: . So my question is, if i removed both arb links would the arb itself swivel up/down allowing me to fit shorter/longer arb links, and if so what effect would this have?

I don't think I had to do any of this on my GTi.  You got any photos to help illustrate the question?  Is it a MK5 Golf you are fitting ARBS to?

Basically my standard suspension used arb links that were roughly 36cm long in total. The fk coilover kit i bought from someone on the forum, and currently have fitted, came with arb links which are roughly 33cm long in total. And the arb links which fk say i require as replacements for my worn ones are roughly 29cm long. so i just want to know if i can fit standard length links without any trouble, or if they need to be slightly shorter for a reason

Ahh ok...I don't have coil overs - which may explain why I did not have to change anything else...  I am sure there are loads of people on the forum who will know.

Sorry for not being much help.
