Best reasonably priced brakes

Getting remapped soon so would like to explore the possibility of better than standard brakes without spending ££££ for a completely new setup. I find the current ones ok till I s#%¥ myself on a corner this afternoon!

So my question is simply what discs and/or pads give the best improvement for the best price? I don't particularly want to change anything but the discs and pads but am open to persuasion

Depends what you plan to do with the car, if it's just for fast road use, the the R 32 set up should be more than enough for your needs. if you plan to do a bit more ie the odd track day then you may want to get a bit more serious.

Would you recommend any in particular? New pads could be a good quick fix

people n here highly reccomend ferrodo DS2500s, mintex M1144s etc.  daveB is the man to talk to when it comes to pads

I've gone for the Porsche caliper 4 pot set up on mine nicely re-furbed by DaveB (not fitted yet tho )

I'd say R32 setup  or the porsche calipered 'not so big brake kit'

On my next pad change I will be trying Tarox's Strada fronts on a stock caliper and disc (they are about 100 notes from Awesome GTI).   They get very good reviews by the way !!

as said in postin my replies pads are a huge improvement IF you get good ones. @ markC i can assure you that the tarox strada pads are sh!te.  I suffered near catastrophic fade with them at the ring( this was with motul rbf600 FLUID), to the point of i wasted an entire lap by having to drive slow to allow them to cool as they had just stopped working. I CHANGED TO DS2500 pads which were light years ahead in performance

i bought them from awesome on a deal alongside the zero sixty discs.  wouldnt do that again personally.  good fluid, good pads and off you go

Thanks for all the replies. Thinking ds2500 pads is the way to go. Not sure if I should just get them for the front, or if I should change the discs as well. So many options
