DSG Paddle Fault
« on: October 05, 2010, 06:11:27 pm »
Hi everyone.

Ive got a intermittent fault on the "+" paddle, by which it doesnt change gear if i dont quite press it right. If i press it in a certain way (at the bottom) it works every time!

ODD  :stupid:

So... is it new steering wheel time... or are the switches available separately?

Thanks
Rich

Might be that the contacts just need cleaning.

Is the car under warranty?

I think so Rich. Take a look here http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,7170.0.html

On a slightly off topic note are you coming to Castle Combe on Saturday?

I think that you will be able to see enough of it to spray some contact cleaner in there.
Also clean and ptfe dry spray the shaft so there is no resistance.

Failing that new switch I would say.  :sad1:

As for gigs with Cliff I am guessing you will be the youngest there.
