R32 owner saying hello
« on: October 09, 2010, 12:34:58 pm »
Hi all

Just wanted to say hello!

Been browsing this forum for over 1/2 a year now.......so I thought I best join.
I have been a member of R32OC for a while now, but I have to say, you seem to have a lot more infomation here on the golf mkv platform.

Secretly I want to enable PM's so I can talk to Mr.vRStu about fitting + coding cruise control (As he seems to be local to my area)

My car:
2006 R32 3dr DBP
Manual
Factory tints
RNS510
Recaro seats
Puddle lights + folding mirrors pack thing

Welcome mate, I use the R32OC forum occasionally too, but don't fine it too helpful. Also very confusing, as read a thread that I think is helpful only to then realise they are on about a MK4!

Hi and welcome.

You'll need 10 posts to be able to PM.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Lovely!
I really toyed with the idea of getting an R32 before I got the GTI.
Welcome

Welcome

As I toyed with the idea of getting a GTI/ED30!
However the R32 with the right spec (basically every option, bar cruise, highline and MFSW)  came up..........so I went for it.

Thanks for the welcomes all.

Hi Dan

I, too, swung over here from r32oc and own a DBP mk5. The point made about a lot of threads over there pertaining to mk4's is indeed frustrating, especially as the 2 models hardly overlap at all, apart from some engine architecture.

Exactly!

So far im very impressed with the "Free Golf Mk5 official workshop manuals" available on this site.
This is exactly what I was after for when I service my brakes etc.
