thats your gateway thats coded incorrectly, something is slightly different with the S version to the previous version you had installed???? you could copy and paste the long coding from the gateway in the same fashion and i will take a look for you.

was the gateway purchased second-hand?

The Gateway was bought off ebay, supposedly new according to the seller and it came in the original vw parts box so probably is.

The long coding from the Gateway is: C9817F06000202000003

You cant copy the long coding string from the old gateway either can you cause there are more bytes in the S revision.

and what car is it on? GTi? R32? 3 door or 5 door?

The car is a 5 door GTI on a 55 plate.

Is there a quicker way for me to copy the data from each individual screen, I've been typing it manually cause it won't let me copy and paste.

I'm running VCDS 908, for the record.
