C Frame Mod
« on: October 18, 2010, 11:07:53 pm »
Been toying with this for a while. I fancy changing the colour of my C frame like in the ads below.

I'll probably buy some new inserts so I can turn back to standard afterwards. Part numbers are 1KO 864 375G 71N - £4.59 and I KO 864 376 G 71N also £4.59.

How much would you reckon it would cost to get them sprayed up in either colour including de-texturing and laquering?

Any opinions on the look?

Looks like a good idea, but they will need to tie in well with something else in the car.

Shouldn't cost that much to get sprayed. You could always prep them first, by sanding them with wet-n-dry.

Why don't you spray em yourself???

You will need a tin of Primer and a tin of Black paint. If you are doing Silver instead of Black you will need a tin of clear Lacquer too.

Oh and some wet-n-dry.

Have a go.  :happy2:

I was thinking of the sliver ones, that might be the closest match to the silver trim already inside. The gloss black ones would suit someone who had a rocco R best.

Probably get some quotes in for the re-spray of them as I'm quite fussy and don't think I could match my own expectations
