Mk5 Golf Folding Mirrors when locking
« on: October 13, 2010, 11:09:10 pm »
Hi All,

I have a 2007 Mk5 Golf Gt Sport 170 with Folding Puddle Light Mirrors, which fold by the switch inside the door. My Dad has just bought a 56 plate Seat Altea FR 170 with folding mirrors but his fold in when you hold the lock button on key, Is this something I could change on VAG COM so that mine could also do this?
My Sunroof also does not close when I hold lock button which Im sure it should?

Thanks Craig

Folding mirrors on the Golf is a manual switch thing only and can't be changed with vcds.

Your sunroof should begin to close if you keep the lock button on the remote pressed for 5-10 sec
Without traction power is nothing!

Ok thanks for reply, Is there a module on the seat that I could fit to the golf to be able to do this or can it just not be done?

Yea even after holding down sunroof doesn't close but my mate said he should be able make the sunroof close on his vagcom?

Thanks

You can by a module that enables the mirrors to auto fold when you lock the car but it isn't cheap. I want one but can't justify the cost... especially since my mirrors don't like folding out again after the've been in!
