fitting THS side engine mounts...

ok, Ive bought these in the group buy so Im looking at researching before fitting.
2 issues.

1 : At the end of one of TT's manuals (http://vwts.ru/engine/bpy/bpy_10.pdf - Engine, removing and installing)
you can see that the bolts are mixed and look like use once stretch bolts.
BSH supply a new set with their mounts.
So should I replace them or risk re-use ?
(I know for example things like lower subframe bolts get reused but strictly are once only)

2: alignment once fitted
TT alluded to ensuring the engine is placed correctly once fitted to ensure all mounts are stressed equally. I cant find any info, so can anyone help?

Subscribed as I am in the same boat.

John, have you or are you fitting the dog bone pro flex bush?

My mechanic did a big groan down the phone which annoyed me as I was hoping to do it myself!

And mentioned aspirin.

He said if you do that you may as well do a load more in that area, I am talking to him Thursday so I will have more info.

by 'dog bone pro flex bush' do you mean the THS group buy insert or something like the ECS insert ?
They are quite different things (targetted at the same area)

THS lower torque/VWR lower etc mount requires the lower subframe to be removed  (lots of bolts) and it pressed into place by hydraulic ram to replace the original. alignment after is recommended. bolts can be reused but strictly should be replaced
 (i.e. the original full lower mount is replaced)

The ECS insert however is an easy DIY, jack car up , loosen couple of bolts and push the insert into place with lube.
(i.e. the original mount is left in place, the insert just fills up the holes VW left in it!)

If you check out the reviews section theres RedRobin,SteveP and myself that have fitted various combinations.

Alignment only becomes an issue if the engine is completely removed,  as long as only on mount is removed at a time the engine position should stay central.

I have attached a torque guide.

Could you post up the torque guide Ollie sent you? or send it to me please?

Don't suppose he also told you the bolt part numbers or a rough costing for them from the dealers did he?  I'd like to be on top of my game before starting to fit them.

Which top cat fitted with the VWR mounts.

Just got mine today very very well made and well packaged.

I have just got my THS intercooler too which is equally as lush.

I think my mechanic is getting confused with something else anyway as it not looking that difficult I will just have to take the plate to work to press out. J

My mechanic is picking up my mates EVO in the morning (nothing to do with anything really) from my house so I will see what he suggests on the bolts.

And see if he is still groaning.

2 x N 019 502 13 - M8x25 (£0.51 each)
1 x N 905 969 06  - M10x55x32 (£4.11 each)
2 x N 105 524 02 - M12x1,5x70 (£2.35 each)
1 x N 910 296 02 - AM10x55/M6x12 (£3.94 each)

Gearbox Mount =

4 x N 905 969 06 - M10x55x32 (£4.11 each)
2 x N 105 524 02 - M12x1,5x70 (£2.35 each)

Lower Mount =

1 x N 911 671 01 - M10x75 (£1.65 each)
1 x N 910 661 01 - M10x35 (£1.65 each)

Gaz how do you feel about re-using the bolts but applying removable threadloc ?
