PND's Shadow Blue GTI
« on: October 13, 2010, 12:49:02 am »
Thought I'd better officially say 'hello' to you all... I've only owned my GTI for four and a half years without getting some proper pics uploaded!  :ashamed:

Anyway, after some recent upgrades on the inside (big thanks again to Darren  :notworthy:) and some round ones on the outside (cheers again Shaun  :happy2:), a good few hours at the weekend with various products, and most of all, a large helping of unexpected sunshine, here are some pics of my car..  Hope you like them, and yes I know.. it needs dropping a bit!

For those who don't know, it's Shadow Blue!

Paul.

Cheers Darren - thanks for your recent assistance!

Shadow Blue - looks great when the sun comes out.. not quite so 'vibrant' when the sun goes back in!

It's an early 2006 that hasn't seen too much action!  RNS? Might have been..

I'm still recovering from the big cleaning session!  Really pleased with the wheels - so much better than the Monzas!

Thanks a lot for the comments chaps!

Surprised you went for pescaras over monzas. I think the latter are awesome.

Great colour. Have you thought about colour coding the black plastic?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I've lived with the Monzas for over 4 years, and having only put the new wheels on last Sunday, it feels a bit like having a new car again! So, for the moment at least, the Pescaras are staying put!  I'm going to keep the Monzas though - maybe stick some winter tyres on if the conditions are anything like last year!  I've been tempted a few times to get it all colour coded - not looked into it seriously yet though..  Probably a bit wary about how good a colour match could be achieved!  The pics exaggerate the difference - in the flesh it's not so noticeable.. but it would look nice!  :happy2:

You should add your photos to the 'the colours' sub forum, shadow blue thread as theres only a couple on there sadly and its such a nice colour.
