WALK / ARB fitment
« on: October 14, 2010, 08:43:11 am »
Is there a WALK fitment guide anywhere, i've done a quick search but nothing useful came up.  Or can anyone recommend a local (wiltshire) place to get them fitted?

Also looking for a guide to fitting uprated ARBs?

Cheers

ON the wishbone....

Rear control arm >>> undo the 3 bolts holding on the mount >>> remove mount >>> remove small bush from the wishbone!

Put on the small yellow bush to the wishbone (from the walk kit) >>> apply lube >>>push on the WALK mount >>> replace the 3 bolts!

That is it according to what i know!

its a case of removing the lower control arm and reinstalling the anti lift kit just as you would an oem control arm mount

On a side note is it a good idea to fit Audi TT control arms at same time?  I believe I've read thay are camber adjustable and Golf ones aren't?  Or have i got that completely wrong??

Oh and thanks Richwig83.

@Bdmalex - I bought 2nd hand and to be honest just put them straight in the garage as soon as i got them so the missus didn't see em so you could be right!

it would make a lot of sense to do this at the same time as the two parts connect and you will save on labour costs doing it once and will also require only one go at re-alignment.  you have that correct about the adjustability :happy2:
