                                                                                     :jumpmove: :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Here is my 'new' .:R32, first impressions are good, low down torque and power is good and it carrys on pulling. Nothing compared to my last beast but with the addition of a super charger  itl be like a foooookin rocket. I also keep finding myself making excuses to go out for a drive  :rolleye: which i didnt really like doing in my mk5 incase it 'broke'  Oh and average round town mpg is 19  :signLOL: motorway sat at 70 will do 32mpg.

Oh dear was it not realiable then?  :signLOL:

Anyway my old car was a MK3 vr6 supercharged and that used to fly and only had 290bhp, a mate had a R32 engine with charger and that had about 400bhp - awesome!!!!

looking forward to seeing this build project!!!   :happy2:

ARB's made a huge difference to mine, even more than the coilovers.

Definitely one of the best sounding cars I ever owned!!!   :driver:

All the modifications went with the car when I sold it in 2007.

It's a few cars ago but I think it ran a mixture of Bilstein struts and H&R springs.  Best investment was the APR 3" zorst - sounded like a baby Lambo!!!    Also, I had it remapped which gave about a 5bhp gain but raised the rev limit and changed the power delivery - doesn't sound much but it made it soooooo much nicer to drive.  Also fitted a CAI which gave it about 12bhp - did a before and after on the dyno - saw it in other R32's as well so a genuine increase.  19" CHs looked mega but were half inch too wide at the front and they caught a little on lock.

All in all an epic car, loved it to bits.  Only sold it when I bought a Mk5 R32!!

The mk5 is an awesome car, the best i have ever owned. But the R is 'special' imo, especially the mk4. You will love either one you get, but since owning the r23, i havnt looked back at my mk5  :chicken:
