the footwell lights just pop out with the use of a screwdriver etc, on the front interior light just the clear lense part pops out - i used a trim removal tool,  the rear interior light comes down by pulling the whole of the cover off from the edge of the light  and i did it by hand.
hth  :happy2:

Update:

Fitted - with no problems at all.
They look supercool!!!

But now I want to convert the little puddle lights in the door mirrors - are these easy to do? How are they accessed and which bulbs do they need?

I'm gonna have a bash at the weekend (mine arrived today). I imagine you have to pull off a cover first and the remove the bulbs? Do I need anything more than a flat-head screwdriver?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

are you fitting the number plate lights stealth?   if so its a posi screw driver (2 holding each light) and then pull them down with a flat head screw driver

What he said!

It took me literally 2 minutes - longer as I got them both the wrong way round but didn't do the screws back up until I was sure they worked ok.

Superb mod.
Sidelights next.

Do the sidelight ones need to be canbus friendly too? Or just the cheap ones you see (10 for a few quid I think they were)

Don’t think he has sold out, just away for a few days and has taken everything out of the shop. I think he I will be back tomorrow as when I tried to order my sidelight Led’s the web site came up with something like that.
