AlloyGators - anyone had any experience of them?
« on: October 18, 2010, 08:31:02 pm »
Hi guys, I somehow seem to have kerbed my 18" Monza II (no idea how/when which is more worrying then realising you have been careless!)

Have seen these AlloyGators advertised in Top Gear magazine, you deflate your tyre and then fit them between your alloy and tyre. As they are only £50.00 for 4 thought might give them a go.

My question though is this - as you have to use glue to join/fix them when you need to change your tyres are these gators written off or does your local kwik fit fitter simply re fit them for you when putting on your new rubber?

Alternatively, how much does it cost roughlyto have an alloy refurbished (my concern though is i dont want to be kerbing them again!)

Thanks, Berg
