Can i ask, what is the point of the tyres that are not wide enough for the wheels?  Surely it is dangerous, and puts the sidewall/bead under a lot of stress?

Its fashion and trend, most young people like to push the boundaries in most area's of life. sometimes dangerous things catch on, if he spends his days just cruising and meeting up with his mates then its not going to kill him. but if he drives round like a looney tune with the tyres like that then.
