This is no help but have you actually checked on how much insurance is going to cost for someone of your age?

Are you allowed to be on as a named driver I'm 21 now but by the time I got to 19 no one would insure me as a named driver I had to be the main driver. I pay 1200 for mine fully comp it was well over 2000 to have it before I was 21 so I waited.

Helpppp

The best help we can give is have a read of the forum, this place is jammed with the info you require. There are no problems specific to the Ed 30. And apart from the air-con going on more than it's fair share, all you need to check is the service history. If it is on the long life service plan check how often it required it's service. This can give a indication of how it's been driven somewhat.  :happy2:

Good luck  , we bought a nice 8900mile ,one owner ed30 dsg and full vag history. It just had the mechatronics unit replaced at 12,000 miles ,I think they are very strong and awesome value for money

Ok, I'm confused as you say the mechatronics unit was replaced at 12,000 miles on a car wih 8900 miles on the clock...

The edition 30 is excellent, plus you would have the three year warranty and you can extend it through vw.There"s different options on the cover depending if you want to pay any excess every level covers the engine and gearbox.Dsg gearbox is excellent.Have a look on vw extended warranty or phone and they"ll give you a quote. :happy2:
