Condensation in front Xenon headlamps
« on: October 17, 2010, 04:31:51 pm »
I know this is a problem but where does it get in??
In the sealing of the front "glass"/plastic?
or from behind?
Any solutions as to how to avoid it.
I changed Left front last winter but now i have it in both fronts   :sad1:

This often happens in mine, I just take the back off the headlamps where you would change them main beam bulbs when I park up and let the warmth off the engine get rid of the condensation and just go and put them back on about 10 minutes later. I usually put the covers on the drivers seat so that I remember to put them back on before I go out in the car again if i forget to go and put them back on!

A friend of mine remarked on my headlamps steaming up. He just happened to work for Hella and said you can get small self adhesive Silica gel packs that you can fit inside the rear cap to get rid of this problem.

He offered to send me some but I never bothered.
