Look forward to this taking shape.
Have you set any timescale for doing these, or just as and when you can afford them?

Im not wanting to draw it out, hopefully get a bit ever 2 weeks !
The power upgrades will be last, i hope to be starting the chassis in April or May after the winter and  once ive had my front bumper resprayed.

Ive got a mk2 project (full rebuild) on the go too, so we will see what happens

I wasnt 100% sure If a carbon fibre bonnet would look good on grey so i decided to wrap it frst to see if i was happy with, Anyway the carbon fibre wrap was put on a couple of weeks ago and i love it, so a carbon bonnet is a deffo at some point !!!

also fitted my short euro pressed plates, they look great. I experimented with how to cut them and the only things that work with the pressed metal is a 1mm cutting disc on a grinder, the rest eg hacksaw, jigsaw and guillotine distorts the edge

The front plastic numberplate mountng will be deleted once i get my front bumper resrayed next year so that will tidy up the front abit !

Well today i fitted my RNS 510 and updated the software, maps and enabled VIM, it took me bloody ages ! (Mostly due to the time it takes to upload the software) but it was well worth it, this is defo one of the best in car Media players ive used.
Another really nice touch, which i didnt realise would happen is that the directions, street names and compass signs all seem to be visable through the highline computer aswell Sweeet !

As i was missing the OEM warning triangle and first aid Kit when i bought the car this was also purchased and chucked in the car today. As well as a nice new recaro baby seat,

Ill get a few more bits and bobs fitted tomorrow hopefully

Cars looking great mate and you have lots of plans. Should keep you busy and your wallet empty too.

I haven't had my edition 30 all that long but one of the first things I did was put the RNS510 in it. Out of interest what software and map version are you running and also how did you enable the VIM?

im not sure bud, ive had the filmware disc lying about for a while (from my last GTI) and never updated it from the original filmware, its done now though,
The maps were the most up to date version when purchased in december 2010/11, and the the VIM was enabled via CD, it takes 5 minutes stick it in and walk away type thing
