Question about my logs
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:50:33 pm »
Did some logs tonight on boost, timing and air fuel ratio. The lambda requested vs actual is quite close and it equals to between 12-13 ( when multiplied by the 14.7) Is this a good figure? Also does it mean the fuel rail pressure is coping ok to make 12-13?

Done boost logs and seems to be producing around 1.5bar (ko4)

However at 6360rpm it requests 1910mb and actual is 1830mb and at 6520rpm it requests 1970mb and actual 1790mb. Is this ok?

Graphs would be useful, I dont have much experience of K04 but its likely that the turbo is just running out of puff at those rev ranges.  The K03's drop below specified lower down the rev range.

You want to be seeing AFR's of around 12 towards redline. Any higher is a little lean for my liking. Try logging block 230 to see if your actual fuel rail pressure is meeting requested.

Peak boost of 1.5bar sounds about right for a KO4. What map are you running?

It is pretty normal for actual boost to be >250mb below requested from 6krpm onwards. Whats your wastegate duty saying on block 118?

As said above, it would be handy to see the graphs/logs...

At 6500 rpm at the redline the AFR is 11.76. I didn't log the rail pressure on the right MB i just got an actual rail pressure. It peaked at some stage at 135 but don't know what RPM it was at. Will have to log more. Running Revo 3 other than that engine running very sweet :driver:
