Advice on new car??
« on: October 19, 2010, 02:15:08 am »
Hey :) those of you that read my newbie post will know I'm looking to buy a gti just after Christmas.
I was just wondering if there is anything I should look out for?
Common problems? Or even something I should look at getting?
As I'm guessing there are a lot of features I don't know about the car, for example I've just read on the forum about the dual climate control which I had no idea about.
I'd appreciate any advise you can give :)
Cheers

No I've not done a search yet, but I did spend last night reading through all 45 pages of joesgti's thread, on his gti... Sounds painful + very expensive, I'm guessing these problems were down to the engine mods? Which I'm thinking about doing once I've got the money together.

Ermm... Come January I should have £9K-ish?
I'm gonna have to save a bit more up I'm guessing, to get a half decent one.. I'm just really impatient, I want it now lol.

i was the same and ended up spending 11k but for a nice spec'd one
and the guys on here were very patient and forthright with the help and advice.
so if you search newbie help or similar then i think even my very original post will come up

and check the for sale section .... a few nice ones coming up as a few peeps are moving on.. :sad1:
