X4 on the gloss black inserts. IMO, would give them a lot of character. But they look great as they are too

....No they wouldn't! They'd then lose all their subtlety. Those black insets only look good on a black GTI.. IMO.

I think they particularly suit the silver car and I don't know why they look oem and not replica.

Yeah, they look great. My only real problem with them is the car kind of loses it's identity as an Edition 30. I guess you just don't expect to see Monzas on one.

I kinda know what you mean Andrew. It doesn't bother me that much though. I def think they make the car look classier/smarter.

Also, I think I am gonna leave the inserts Grey for the time being. I know they would look great in Black, (and they look a bit bigger) but overall I am happy with em as-is.

....Much more subtle and smarter with grey inserts and suits silver body better too, in my hardwired designer opinion.

The original German/European Ed30's have black Monza's. I think VW got it wrong to put the Ed30 on Pescara's in the UK. The Pescara's are a classic style of BBS but lack the GTI individuality of the Monza design, imhwdo.

Sorry for the late reply. I have been in Rome at my sisters for a few weeks.

The Conti's are 225/35/19's XL and were from Rochford tyres. They have a tyre site called..........Tyresite.co.uk  
Here is a link, but I have had a look and it appears they dont have them listed anymore. When I ordered mine, it said they had 32 in stock.  
I showed Gary (Gazbut) at the time and he said he might get a set too at that price and stick em in the garage.

It was a great price, but when they arrived the invoice was from another company.
So it looks like Rochford (tyresite) were just the middlemen.

The invoice was actually from MICHELDEVER TYRES, and the price was even lower than what I paid at £399  

Anyway I emailed Micheldever tyres and I asked, If I needed some more, would they be able to,

a) Cut out the middleman and deal with me direct?
b) Be able to do the tyres for the price they invoiced Rochford tyres?

A guy called Mark Bennett replied,

Hi Carlo,

We can give you a quote you at the time,
We cannot guarantee price will be the same as we have no control over Rochford tyres or have access to any off there price’s.
They would deal with our wholesale side off the company, looks like they get a very competitive price.

Please phone nearer to the time.

I agree with the grey centres, they look much more subtle.  What do they weigh compared to the originals?

I think they look a touch too large.......  Just my opinion.......
